We are a non-profit, non-predatory journal and rely entirely on local and international experts to advance research activity in Rwanda.
If you are a pre-med or medical student who is a native English speaker then we need you. Our type-editors are sent manuscripts after submission and support submitting authors to improve the quality of the language and formatting of the manuscript before it is sent for peer-review. This is to improve the quality of our research output but also to minimise the risk of research being rejected based on language skills rather then research quality.
Type-editors are usually in position for 1-2 years and will be asked to review between 4-10 articles per year. We provide written confirmation of your contribution to allow you to add this to your CV/resumé.
If you would like to join the team then please email the editorial team with a copy of your CV ([email protected])
Our type-editors report that being involved is a positive experience and many have gone on to publish their own articles with us at the Rwanda Medical Journal.
